2015 is right around the corner and believe me I do not believe in making new year resolutions. in my opinion each day I wake up to the glorious sun is a new beginning to start over and correct mistakes. We all make bad decisions everyday; whether it's an emotional or financially a bad decision. I take these mistakes and try to see how I can correct them and do better the 5th time around. Yes not the second time but the 5th time.. I'm a slow learner okay? In my opinion, mistakes are like a test....each time you fail them they will continue to repeat itself until I get it right. But hey that's another topic and post that we should talk about later.
One thing I plan on learning is budgeting correctly. budgeting which consist of bringing lunch to work, taking public transportation instead of taxi's, Thrift shopping, Cutting coupons, Cutting out the Beauty Salon and doing my own hair, Making holiday gifts instead of buying them.
Why is saving and budgeting so important to me? Because its not fun living from paycheck to paycheck. I think its nice to have a little "rest nest" or "fall back shelter" for rainy days and emergency fund if you will. a vacation fund if you must.. Know what I mean??

So I'm really proud of myself when I saved myself a few bucks at the drug store the other day.... Shoot... I get tired of giving away my hard earned money. . There has to be a better way.... some type of legal trick to milk the system and get richer and save money. No? I'm reaching right?

So I will get better as I go.. not putting too much pressure on myself, I don't want the stress. But I will take baby steps to save my pesos.
With all this in mind... the other day I decided to save a little extra chump change and cut some coupons.. I needed some as home supplies or necessities. .
Any who. . This is what I purchases and how much I saved and let me tell ya I was freaking excited for this little bit of a deal. . A little bit of savings a day can go long way right?
Peanut butter and jelly: 2 for $4 yeah man
Shampoo and conditioner: 2 for $8

Once I walked into the store.. I stopped by the counter and picked up a flyer and a coupon book. I started flipping through the pages and was so excited about it as if I were looking for free gold. I observed around the store and realized I was the only customer with a flyer and ripping out coupons.
What the hell is up with that? I felt like yelling to all the other customers " People there are flyers and coupons in the front of the store!" "Look alive people"! Ha!
So there it is my little bit of savings that I hope will be the start of getting richer.

Another way to save money is to realize.. you are not the Jones. Note to self: I am not the perfect financial savvy, better off friend on social media who post their big engagement ring and new BMW, new condo, or luscious green garden and new outfit from Barney's. I will stay in my own lane and not be led and detoured with green eyes. Just do me. Be happy with what I have. There is always someone who has much more than me and someone with much less. I am okay with this.
My eyes are green because I eat a lot of vegetables.. It ain't got nothing to do with your new Beamer.
The trick is to stay off of other peoples timeline and pictures... LOL
